Three New Florida Projects will Grow the Community

Cutler Associates was recently awarded contracts for projects with Pinellas County Schools, the Pasco County School District, and the New Tampa Skateboard Park. The work, which will focus on enhancing the local community through new construction, renovations and additions, will be led by the company’s Southeast Division, headquartered in Tampa, Florida.

Cutler was awarded its first project with Pinellas County Schools – the renovation of Sandy Lane Elementary. The scope of the $3 million project entails a complete HVAC renovation and a major cosmetic improvements including new ceilings, paint and floor finishes. Construction will begin April 1st and will be complete within one year. “We are so proud to have Pinellas County Schools as a new client and look forward to an excellent working relationship with the school district,” said Rick Lentz, Vice President of Cutler’s Southeast Division.

Cutler recently signed a contract with the Pasco County School District to provide preconstruction services for the new EEE High School, the first high school in the county to be designed to USGBC LEED™ Standards. The design phase of this $45M project is currently underway and construction is anticipated to begin in late 2008. The new high school is located in Pasco County (area of Chicago Ave and SR 52) and is expected to have a student population of 1,814 students. Since 1998, Cutler has completed four new school projects for the school district and 13 renovation projects to existing schools.

A new design-build project with the City of Tampa, the New Tampa Skateboard Park, will be built adjacent to the New Tampa Community Center that is currently under construction. The skateboard park is budgeted at $600,000 and construction is slated to start in May 2008. Teammates include Charlotte Engineering (Tampa) and Team Paine (Orlando) a nationally recognized designer of skateboard parks.
