New $48 Million High School in Pasco County Under Construction

Cutler Associates has recently started constructed on a new $48 million high school in Pasco County. Rick Lentz, LEED AP, Regional Vice President of the Tampa office made the announcements on January 30, 2009.

Encompassing 256,000 S.F., Pasco’s “EEE” High School will have a total of 17 structures making up the campus. These include six main buildings housing administration, classrooms, a gymnasium, dining/cafeteria facilities and a field house.  A state-of-the-art public school, “EEE” High School will serve approximately 1900 students with the latest, most up-to-date educational needs including computer/business/media classrooms, visual & performing arts facilities, resource and science rooms, and a culinary arts/hospitality lab.  Furthermore, the school’s sports facilities will include physical education/weightlifting/wrestling rooms, a football stadium, exterior basketball courts, exterior tennis courts, a softball field, a baseball field, athletic track around the football field. 

The school features unique exterior design elements such brick on all of the buildings to give the campus a very old school feel. There will be approximately 2200 lf of planter/wall/student seating in the courtyards. The two story classroom buildings are connected via walkway that over looks the courtyard. scheduled to be completed by May 2010. 

Scheduled for occupancy for the 2010-2011 school year, the new “EEE” High School is located in Pasco County on 45 acres (area of Chicago Ave and SR 52).
