University of New Hampshire - Fairchild Hall - Durham, New Hampshire

Cutler Associates has teamed with DiMella Shaffer to complete for its second major design-build project at UNH in Durham consisting of 27,150 square feet, 145 beds. The project is a comprehensive renovation of the University’s second oldest dormitory building to provide updated building systems and amenities for today’s generation of students while still preserving and enhancing its historical charm.

St. Mark's School - Faculty Housing - Southborough, MA

Cutler is working with Saint Mark’s School, a college-prepatory boarding and day school, and Ruhl Walker Architects to construct a 13,000-square-foot faculty housing complex. Three duplex-style houses are under construction using factory-prefabricated panelized construction. One of the buildings will feature three-bedroom homes, while the remaining duplexes include one three- and one four- bedroom home.  The project is scheduled for completion in August of 2008 following eight months of construction.

Visiting Nurse Association - Somerville, Massachusetts

A new 99-unit senior facility is currently under construction for the Visiting Nurse Association. The complex will provide assisted and supportive housing for low to moderate income seniors. Designed by Chia-Ming Sze Architects of Boston, the $17 million project is constructed from prefabricated modules and is scheduled for completion in November of 2008.

Methuen Assisted Living - Methuen, Massachusetts

A new 91-unit senior living facility is under construction for completion in December 2008. The $9.8 million complex includes 24 memory-support, affordable apartments and 67 assisted living apartments. The site is located in the flood zone of the Spicket River. The building is designed so that if the river floods, the overflow will pass under the building.

New Balance Athletic Shoe - Lawrence, Massachusetts

Cutler is implementing a design-build solution for New Balance’s expansion of its Biomechanics and Sports Research testing facility in Lawrence, Massachusetts. The $1.2 million project will create a sports research laboratory space housing high-tech laboratory test equipment and facilities where athletes can simulate sports activities for the purpose of measuring and studying motion and resultant forces. The 9,280-square-foot renovation will be completed in August of 2008 after a five-month construction period.

Sandy Lane Elementary - Clearwater, Florida
Cutler is proud to be completing its first project for Pinellas County Schools in Clearwater, Florida.  The $3 million renovation of Sandy Lane Elementary School includes a major HVAC upgrade and a complete facelift throughout the complex with new ceilings, paint, and floor finishes.  Construction began in April 2008 and is expected to be completed in one year.

New Tampa Skateboard Park - Tampa, Florida

Together with design-build teammates Charlotte Engineering of Tampa and nationally-recognized skateboard park designer, Team Paine of Orlando, Cutler is leading construction on the New Tampa Skateboard Park for the City of Tampa.  The 20,000-square-foot skate park will be complete in the Fall of 2008.

Pasco County EEE High School Preconstruction - Hudson, Florida

Cutler has been hired by the Pasco County School District to provide preconstruction services for the new EEE High School – the first high school in the county to be designed to USGBC LEED™ standards.  Design of the $45 million project is underway with construction expected to commence in late 2008.  Since 1998, Cutler has built four new schools and renovated 13 existing buildings within the district.

Lowry Park Zoo Safari Lodge - Tampa, Florida

Safari Lodge, the largest indoor special events facility to be built in Lowry Park Zoo’s history is currently under construction.  Part of the Safari Lodge Complex, the facility is a 17,000-square-foot, climate controlled building designed to accommodate special events, seasonal restaurant operations, and meeting space.  The lodge will have a “great hall” with a ceiling towering more than 23 feet at its tallest point.  An elevated annex will feature views of the giraffe and zebra habitat.

Hospice House Brookside - Palm Harbor, Florida

A 25-bed residence is under construction for The Hospice of the Florida Suncoast by the design-build team of Cutler Associates and Collman and Karsky. The two-story, 30,000-square-foot facility creates a warm, comforting and homelike atmosphere to compassionately meet the needs of patients and families.  The $7 million project is expected to be complete in May of 2009.

Hillsborough Community College Student Services Center - Tampa Bay, Florida

Cutler Associates was selected to serve as construction manager for Hillsborough Community College’s new Student Services Center to be located on the Ybor City Campus.  The $14.3 million student center will house Student Services Offices as well as Student Guidance and Counseling Offices and related spaces.  Targeted for completion in the Summer 2009, the project will incorporate FGBC and LEED standards into the design and construction.

Coca-Cola Lehigh Valley Syrup Branch Expansion - Allentown, Pennsylvania

Cutler is working for Coca-Cola North America to complete an expansion to its Lehigh Valley Syrup Branch.  The project will provide a 5,542-square-foot cold hazardous storage expansion to the existing facility and add a new exit corridor in the tanker unloading area.  The $1.8 million project will be finished in November 2008.

West Valley Marketplace - Allentown, Pennsylvania

Developers Diversified Realty Co. hired Cutler Associates to construct a 20,000-square-foot office/retail building expansion to the West Valley Marketplace.  The steel framed building will feature a brick and glass exterior and will provide flexible space for multiple tenants.  The $1.9 million project is expected to be completed in October 2008.

University of New Hampshire – Philbrook Hall - Durham, New Hampshire

To support its expanded residential facilities, UNH is renovating and expanding the Philbrook Dining Hall.  The 24,289-square-foot renovation will create an expanded dining area that will accommodate 300 diners.  In addition, the project will include an expanded loading dock area, storage, waste handling, and servery improvements.  The $4.2 million project is scheduled to open in August 2008.

Mount Holyoke College – Safford Hall - South Hadley, Massachusetts

After completing three similar residence hall renovation projects for Mount Holyoke College in 2005 and 2006, Cutler was asked to return to create a similar design-build solution for Safford Hall.  The updates will transform underutilized former dining hall space into student lounge areas and a “Golden Pear” kitchen area.  At the same time, the team will address accessibility issues, provide infrastructure updates, and restore the original grandeur of the 1897-built structure.

Endicott College New Residence Hall - Beverly, Massachusetts

Cutler is completing a design-build, 60-bed residence at Endicott College, Cutler’s seventh project on campus.  The complex features the Infinity Structural System, which consists of an Epicore MSR Floor System on pre-panelized, load bearing metal stud walls.  The apartment-style layout will include four, five, and six double bedroom units, each with full kitchens, large bathrooms, and living areas.  After a short seven month construction period, the project will be completed in August of 2008.

Boroughs Family Branch YMCA - Westborough, Massachusetts

Originally constructed in 2002 by Cutler Associates, the Boroughs YMCA quickly exceeded its membership goal.  Cutler is now expanding the facility to include a larger wellness center, family locker room, studio space, family pool, and half court gymnasium.  The project will also add parking and improve traffic flow on the site.
